With Broad Participation: The First Scientific Conference of Yemeni Universities "Al-A q s_a Flood" Kicks Off in Sana’a
The First Scientific Conference of Yemeni Universities, "Al-Aqsa Flood," commenced this morning in the Yemeni capital, Sana’a, with extensive local and international participation. Azal University for Human Development is contributing 12 research papers to the conference, which brings together six Yemeni universities and features high-level academic and official attendance.
The conference was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, alongside senior officials, including:
1- Al-Allama Mohammed Muftah, First Deputy Prime Minister
2- Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs
3- Mohammed Saleh Al-Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Political Council
4- Sheikh Sultan Al-Samee, Member of the Supreme Political Council
5- Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidarous, Chairman of the Shura Council
Additionally, several ministers and senior officials were in attendance, including:
- Hassan Al-Saadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education
- Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali, Minister of Civil Service and Administrative Development
- Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir, Minister of Oil and Minerals
- Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawlid, Minister of Youth and Sports
- Major General Mohammed Ayash Qahim, Minister of Public Works and Roads
- Sheikh Saleh Dubaish, Judicial Custodian
- Dhaifallah Al-Shami, Former Minister of Information
- Sheikh Hussein Hazeb, Former Minister of Education and Higher Education
- Eng. Mohammed Al-Wadai, Head of the Education Sector for Judicially Supervised Institutions

Also present were Dr. Hatem Al-Duais, Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Omar Daer, Deputy Minister of Information, in addition to ministry representatives, university presidents, deans, department heads, and leading academics. Among them were Dr. Mohammed Al-Aqeeli, President of Azal University, and Dr. Masad Raqea, Vice President of the University, along with the university’s Secretary-General, faculty deans, and department heads.
In his opening speech, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shami, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee, emphasized that the three-day conference aims to analyze the dimensions and consequences of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation on the Arab and Islamic world and its impact on the Zionist entity. Discussions will focus on the most significant military operations that have targeted global Zionism.
Dr. Al-Shami highlighted that the conference will examine the political, historical, cultural, media, military, economic, human rights, and health dimensions of the operation. Additionally, it will explore the role of scientific research in supporting the Palestinian cause and strengthening the nation's awareness and resistance efforts.
The conference will present over 130 research papers and academic studies exploring the strategic implications and long-term effects of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, with a particular focus on Yemen’s role in supporting and standing with the Palestinian people.
Dr. Fouad Hanash, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Committee, stated that the conference represents a pivotal academic initiative in Yemen, aimed at confronting the Zionist enemy through knowledge production, academic research, and enhancing political and strategic awareness of the Palestinian cause.
This groundbreaking conference seeks to unify research efforts and analyze the regional and global shifts resulting from the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation, providing scientific recommendations to strengthen the Palestinian cause across various platforms.
The conference will continue until Thursday, featuring intensive scientific sessions and in-depth discussions aimed at enriching academic discourse and research on one of the most significant strategic events in the region.
