Azal University for Human Development (AUHD) is profoundly committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable academic community. As a proud member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), we believe that access to quality higher education is a fundamental human right.

AUHD enforces a strict non-discriminatory admission policy. Admission to all undergraduate, postgraduate, and lifelong learning programs is based solely on academic merit, intellectual potential, and meeting the specific programmatic prerequisites.

Azal University for Human Development (AUHD) champions the rights of persons with disabilities to access higher education without barriers. Guided by our pioneering Faculty of Special Education, AUHD is dedicated to creating an empowering, barrier-free environment for students, faculty, and staff with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities.

2. Institutional Action & Proof of Commitment

Our commitment goes beyond policy; it is embedded in our academic structure. AUHD is the first institution in the region to launch a dedicated Computer Science Major for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, taught entirely via adaptive visual aids and Sign Language, integrating marginalized students directly into the STEM workforce.

3. Scope of Support Services

AUHD commits to providing the following for admitted students and hired staff with disabilities:

  • Accessible Infrastructure: Continual upgrading of campus facilities (ramps, elevators, and accessible halls) to ensure physical mobility.
  • Adaptive Learning: Utilizing inclusive teaching methodologies and allowing specialized accommodations during examinations.
  • Psychological and Academic Counseling: Providing tailored guidance through our specialized counseling centers to ensure students with disabilities achieve their full academic and professional potential.
