Azal University for Human Development (AUHD) maintains an uncompromising commitment to digital privacy, user data protection, and transparent information governance. Operating across all official digital subdomains (including auhd.edu.ye), this policy establishes binding terms of use, robust data encryption standards, user confidentiality safeguards, and intellectual property protections for prospective students, enrolled scholars, faculty members, and international site visitors.

1. Preamble, Scope & Digital Governance Mandate

As an internationally recognized higher education institution committed to transparency and institutional integrity, AUHD ensures that all digital interactions adhere to stringent data protection standards. This policy applies uniformly to all visitors interacting with university portals, online admission forms, e-learning management systems, and graduate verification gateways across all faculties—including the Faculty of Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering & IT, the Faculty of Administrative & Financial Sciences, the Faculty of Special Education, and the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies & Research.

2. User Data Protection & Secure Information Processing

Protecting the personal and academic data of our students and applicants is an institutional priority. AUHD enforces robust security protocols:

  • Encrypted Transmission: All data submitted via admission portals, contact desks, and the SAR Electronic Verification System is encrypted using secure SSL/TLS protocols, ensuring complete protection against unauthorized interception.
  • Restricted Database Access: Personal records, academic grades, and financial disclosures are stored within redundant, firewalled institutional databases managed exclusively by authorized personnel within the IT Services Center and Registrar administration.
  • Strict Non-Disclosure: The university does not sell, trade, or transfer personal user data to third-party commercial entities, complying fully with national higher education data privacy regulations and international confidentiality principles.

3. Intellectual Property Rights & Digital Content Ownership

All materials published on AUHD digital platforms—including text, graphics, logos, trademarks, course syllabi, research repositories, and multimedia assets—are the exclusive intellectual property of Azal University for Human Development or are utilized under valid licensing agreements:

  • Copyright Protection: Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, scraping, or commercial exploitation of portal content without prior written authorization from the university administration is strictly prohibited.
  • Open-Access Scholarly Repository: Research papers and postgraduate theses deposited into institutional repositories remain subject to open-access attribution guidelines and CrossRef DOI standards coordinated by the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Center (QAAC).

4. Acceptable Digital Use & Cybersecurity Compliance

Users accessing university networks, student portals, and official communication channels must adhere to high standards of digital citizenship:

  • Prohibited Activities: Users are strictly prohibited from attempting unauthorized access to server infrastructure, introducing malicious software, circumventing security controls, or transmitting harassing content through university forums.
  • Disciplinary & Legal Action: Violations of cybersecurity protocols or digital terms of use trigger immediate administrative investigation, account suspension, and potential legal prosecution in coordination with national authorities.

5. Cookie Management & Analytics Transparency

To enhance website performance and user experience, AUHD portals utilize standard session cookies and anonymous web analytics. Visitors retain the right to modify browser cookie preferences at any time; however, disabling essential session cookies may impact functionality across authenticated student and faculty portals.
