Azal University for Human Development wins the First Yemeni Universities Football Championship Cup, “Fayd Al-Aqsa”

Azal University for Human Development won the title of the first private universities' football championship, lifting the "Flood of Al-Aqsa" Cup, after defeating the Yemeni University in the final match with a score of 5-2. The decisive game took place today, Wednesday, February 5, at the Recreational Club Stadium in Sana’a.
The tournament, organized by the Sports Mobilization Sector in the Judicial Guard, saw strong competition among six private universities: Azal University, the Yemeni University, the University of Science and Technology, the International Emirati University, Tantaq University, and Al-Nasser University. The competition lasted 20 days, during which the teams engaged in intense matches to reach the final.
The sporting event witnessed a significant turnout and the presence of prominent figures, led by Professor Dr. Abdullah Al-Shami, Chairman of the First Scientific Conference for Yemeni Universities (Flood of Al-Aqsa), alongside other distinguished personalities.

The organizers emphasized that this championship, held under the slogan "Flood of Al-Aqsa", aims to enhance solidarity with the Palestinian cause and encourage students to engage in sports activities, which contribute to physical and mental development, as well as fostering ethical values and sportsmanship.
