Global Partnerships & SDG Impact
AUHD Expands Global Partnerships and Reaffirms Commitment to UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
As part of its strategic vision to position Yemeni higher education on the global stage, Azal University for Human Development (AUHD) continues to forge robust international partnerships while actively executing programs that align directly with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Driving the SDGs through the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI)
AUHD stands as one of only four Yemeni universities to hold active, official membership in the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) program. This membership is not merely symbolic; it reflects the university’s operational commitment to specific global goals. Through the zero-cost Community Health Unit, AUHD directly advances SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by providing free clinical care and nutritional assessments to marginalized populations.
Simultaneously, the pioneering Faculty of Special Education champions SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by integrating students with disabilities into the academic framework, most notably through the Computer Science Major for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Elevating Medical Sciences via International Alliances
To ensure AUHD graduates remain competitive in the international labor market, the university has secured critical cross-border recognitions. The Faculty of Pharmacy’s inclusion in the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) aligns AUHD’s curricula with world-class pharmaceutical standards. Furthermore, institutional accreditation by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) guarantees that medical and health science graduates possess the credentials required to seamlessly transition into the Gulf healthcare sector.
Institutional Quality & IAO Accreditation
Building upon its national accreditation success, AUHD recently submitted its comprehensive institutional dossier to the International Accreditation Organization (IAO). This proactive engagement with international quality assurance bodies ensures that AUHD’s governance, teaching methodologies, and digital infrastructure (such as the SAR Verification System) meet rigorous global benchmarks, fostering a culture of transparency and academic integrity.
