Demonstrating a profound institutional commitment to social welfare and public health resilience, Azal University for Human Development (AUHD) continues to operate its flagship, zero-cost Community Health Unit—providing vital medical screenings, nutritional evaluations, and preventative health guidance to hundreds of families across Sana'a.

Bridging Academic Training and Real-World Patient Care

Supervised directly by senior clinical faculty members and medical specialists, senior students from the Faculty of Medical Sciences staff the outreach initiatives as part of their experiential capstone training. Operating under structured protocols, students conduct comprehensive health screenings—including blood pressure monitoring, blood glucose testing, pediatric nutritional risk assessments, and midwifery consultations—ensuring underserved communities receive immediate, high-quality care.

Advancing Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3)

This ongoing community initiative aligns directly with AUHD's active membership in the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) framework and its dedication to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being. By combining clinical consultations with interactive public health seminars on dietary hygiene, chronic disease prevention, and maternal care, the university actively works to alleviate the strain on the regional healthcare infrastructure.

Holistic Student Formation and Public Service

Through these field clinics, AUHD ensures that its medical, nursing, and clinical nutrition graduates are formed not only as technically proficient practitioners but as compassionate community leaders. Further details regarding health science programs and community outreach can be explored through the official Student Academic Guide.
