In an interactive and engaging atmosphere, Azal University for Human Development (AUHD) concluded on Thursday, October 1, 2026, through its Training and Development Center, an extensive applied training workshop titled: "AI Tools for the University Student." The session witnessed enthusiastic attendance and active participation from 87 students representing various faculties and academic specializations across the university.

Transitioning from Casual Tech Users to Academic Professionals

Presented by Mr. Rami Shafiq, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at the university, the session focused on transitioning students from casual technology users to proficient academic professionals. The workshop was uniquely distinguished by its total reliance on smartphones for explanation and application; the instructor delivered live demonstrations directly from his personal mobile device, while students followed along step-by-step using free versions of ChatGPT and Google Gemini on their own phones.

Deep Practical Application Across Mobile Screens

Moving beyond theoretical frameworks, the workshop delved into deep practical application. Students explored core differences between the two AI tools and practiced leveraging them to support their academic journeys—ranging from simplifying complex concepts and summarizing study materials or long educational YouTube videos, to extracting data from images and charts, and assisting with computer code writing and research drafting.

Mastering Prompt Engineering & Academic Integrity

A key highlight of the training was instructing students on the "magic formula" for prompt engineering. Participants learned how to guide artificial intelligence with precision to yield robust academic results, while receiving strong emphasis on "academic integrity" rules to avoid uncritical reliance that could lead to plagiarism or AI hallucinations.

Interactive Duo Training and 20 Practical Challenges

The workshop was met with widespread acclaim and enthusiasm from participating students, boosted by the interactive "duo training" format (two students sharing one smartphone) and 20 hands-on challenges completed inside the hall. These challenges ranged from mock interview simulations and complex problem-solving to ice-breaking with smart prompts, transforming the training room into an active hive of live experimentation.

Launching the "Skills Bank" Student Community

At the conclusion of the workshop, the Training and Development Center announced that the 87 participating students would receive accredited certificates documenting this essential digital skill. Furthermore, the university announced the launch of a dedicated WhatsApp student community titled "Skills Bank" (بنك المهارات), serving as a sustainable platform to share the latest tools, courses, and professional training opportunities with students.
