Under the gracious sponsorship of University President Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Aqili, the first wave of extensive field visit excursions for students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Azal University for Human Development (AUHD) kicked off on Sunday morning. The students participated in the grand opening of the third edition of the "Yemen Health 2026" Medical Exhibition and Conference, held at Al-Diyar Hall in the capital, Sana'a.
Merging Academic Knowledge with Practical Reality
This field excursion, organized by the Student Activities and Public Relations Administration, translates the university's enduring vision of fusing rigorous academic instruction with applied field reality. By immersing students in premier medical exhibitions, AUHD exposes cohorts to advanced diagnostic equipment, surgical technologies, and innovative healthcare solutions showcased by leading regional and international medical institutions participating in Yemen's premier health event.
Wide Participation of First-Level Students
The field trip witnessed enthusiastic engagement and heavy attendance, with three dedicated university buses departing at 10:00 AM to transport registered participants. The visit was notably marked by the exceptional and wide participation of "First-Level" students, whom the university granted this opportunity to serve as an inspiring launchpad for their academic journey in health sciences. Students toured various exhibition pavilions, explored cutting-edge medical devices, and connected directly with industry experts and healthcare labor market representatives.
The White Coat Initiative
In one of the most prominent highlights of the visit, AUHD medical students received a special welcome, benefiting from the "White Coat Initiative." Free medical lab coats were distributed to attending students, provided by the "Medical City Foundation" in cooperation with the exhibition management—a symbolic step reinforcing students' dedication to their future humanitarian profession and supporting their clinical training journey.
Continuation of Field Visits
Notably, the university will continue organizing field visit excursions on Monday, October 5, allowing a new batch of students to benefit from the exhibition's activities and build professional networks that open wide horizons for their medical futures.
